Hey all! Darc back again with the latest update about what's happening behind the scenes. First off, we have some awesome news!
DriveSavers, the data recovery group we sent the damaged hard drive off to, recovered 90% of the files... including all of the missing masters. Thank you, guys! You saved Issue 9!
While I want to get back to updates this Friday, Matt wants me to wait until Monday. This will give us time to get back into the comic-making groove. So Supporters, page 19 will be posted Monday and, we'll go from there.
In other news, the first page of "The Incident" is finished. Things have changed a bit. While working on it I remembered just how much I hate shading comic pages. Covers... no problem. Pages, I prefer the tone. I also would like to be able to take this to print, mainly because I still prefer to read comics on paper. Add in the time it takes to do the full shading, and it wasn't shaping up to be a good plan.
So, what does this mean for the issue? It means there will be a print version available for the standard $3.00. There will also be a download-able version available for $4.00.
The difference? The print version will be tone only. The downloaded version will contain the issue in base under tone color, tones, as well as the sketches of each page.
Hopefully this will work out for everyone. Sorry for the change. I want to be sure I can wrap this one up quickly as well as get the updates running again. I'm still not sure if we're planning on doing a pre-order or not. That's up to Matt to decide. I'll have more info on that in a bit.
For now, I should probably get off the computer and get ready for bed. I've page 19 to finish tomorrow and 20 to start. Later and thanks for reading!
