Issue 8 - Page 07

02-06-2010

Hey all! Darc here. Just a quick post outlining some of the things that have been happening over the last few days.

The RSS feed is now working again. Matt and I noticed this morning that the feed hasn't been doing its job for the past week or so. Sorry about that. It's all fixed and should be running along smoothly now. If you ever notice that the feed is not working properly, please drop us an email and we'll fix it right away. Clickthulu, the program running the 'Hunter' website, is still new and under production, so things happen now and then. Thanks, guys!

As I mentioned a few days ago, the data has all been recovered and we're getting back on track. Supporters, your updates will resume this Monday (Feb 8th). Thanks everyone for sticking with us over the last two weeks! You guys have been awesome!

And, finally, the pre-order for "The Incident" is now available. With the base-under-tone color version, the tone version, and the sketches of each page it comes out be a 73 page PDF. It's still being drawn so please remember, this is a pre-order. The PDF will be sent out via email once the issue is finished. This may take a bit, since I'll be working on the regular pages as well.

And, I believe that's all for now. Thanks again, guys, and take care!

Hey all! Darc back again with the latest update about what's happening behind the scenes. First off, we have some awesome news! DriveSavers, the data recovery group we sent the damaged hard drive off to, recovered 90% of the files... including all of the missing masters. Thank you, guys! You saved Issue 9!

While I want to get back to updates this Friday, Matt wants me to wait until Monday. This will give us time to get back into the comic-making groove. So Supporters, page 19 will be posted Monday and, we'll go from there.

In other news, the first page of "The Incident" is finished. Things have changed a bit. While working on it I remembered just how much I hate shading comic pages. Covers... no problem. Pages, I prefer the tone. I also would like to be able to take this to print, mainly because I still prefer to read comics on paper. Add in the time it takes to do the full shading, and it wasn't shaping up to be a good plan.

So, what does this mean for the issue? It means there will be a print version available for the standard $3.00. There will also be a download-able version available for $4.00.

The difference? The print version will be tone only. The downloaded version will contain the issue in base under tone color, tones, as well as the sketches of each page.

Hopefully this will work out for everyone. Sorry for the change. I want to be sure I can wrap this one up quickly as well as get the updates running again. I'm still not sure if we're planning on doing a pre-order or not. That's up to Matt to decide. I'll have more info on that in a bit.

For now, I should probably get off the computer and get ready for bed. I've page 19 to finish tomorrow and 20 to start. Later and thanks for reading!
