Last call for Issues 1-7

Morning all! Darc here. With Issue 9 due to arrive in a few weeks and a con coming up, I've been thinking about our current inventory.

Since Issues 1-7 are collected in the A Political Spell</A> trade, we won't be reprinting them. (Issue 8 hasn't reached the end of its run yet, so we'll be keeping that in print for a bit.) In other words, once the copies we have on hand are gone, they're gone for good. While there are 41 copies of Issue 7 left, only 8 copies of Issue 1 remain. So, if there's an issue you're missing, now's a good time to pick it up.

And yes, the floppy versions of Issues 1-4 are printed in color.

I still have a business card, order forms, promotional materials, and a new banner to make before the con coming up. So much to do. It's exciting running a small business at times. I'm still trying to get my groove back. (Grooooooooove.) I was going along well until I got knocked out of it a few weeks ago. (Curse you, migraine! Curse you!) It always takes so long to get into the rhythm and yet, it's so easy to loose it. But, I'm still chugging along so, it'll come back eventually.

</A> Hey there, all! I had this page sketched out yesterday and forgot to post it. Ooops! Sorry about that.

Inking is coming along well and will be done this evening. Which, is nice. Then it's on to page three tomorrow. No, I don't have a life. Why do you ask? *wink*

On the print-front, Issue 9 is at the printers and we should have the floppies in hand by the end of the month.

I've also been batting around the idea of a 52 page sketchbook or so. Just a collection of roughs I can find. At the moment, what I have in hand are the page sketches and covers. The rest of the print-ready sketches didn't survive the crash last month. It's something I'll need to think about.

But, for now, my eggs are almost finished. It's egg salad sandwich for lunch! Yum! Later and thanks for reading!

</A> Hello! Hello! Work on the next interlude, "Lifts and Liaisons", has begun. Inking will begin in a bit.

If you'd like to see the sketch before the lines were cleaned-up, I saved two versions.

The first one is the rough of just Gadel and Doodle. The second is with the background added in. These roughs were done in a few minutes each. Just trying to lay down the basic shapes quick.

Yeah, they're very light and messy, which is why I don't usually show this stage. It looks like a scruffy muddle here.

Hey all! Page three of "The Incident"</A> is now complete. I'm a little behind where I wanted to be by this time of the week, so I'm going to move on to the intermission pages for next week tomorrow instead of continuing on with page four of "The Incident".

In the meantime, I need to figure some solution to my bad chair/sore back problem. This last week's been very uncomfortable which is slowing me down. I tend to move around a lot while inking, and the tight shoulders/tight lower back are preventing that. Ick! Later!
